Times like these we learn to love again????
As the world's economy is as fragile as thin ice on a warm day, what are we doing to make a stand?
Are we continuing are mindset of everything is made for me, or are we trying to look out for one another?

Running Scared
I have heard people say on multiple occasions "If you could do anything for God, and know you wouldn't fail, what would you do?" I have been thinking this over, and I think I have been running for God for quite sometime. I think I am scared to try. Not because of failing but because if I truly trust and take on something big, then the next time will have to be something bigger. But I just can't seem to make the first step.
Trusting God is like a first kiss there is so much nervousness because deep down we know the outcome will be awesome.

So Ungodly
In the book I am currently reading "Respectable Sins" by Jerry Bridges, he states are most common sin is UNGODLINESS. When he made this statement I was thinking to myself "He has to be talking about someone else, I might have some sins but I am far from ungodly". But then he defined his idea of Ungodliness, To go through any action without realizing God is in it. That blew me away, my goodness all the time I have everything planned out all nice and pretty and hardly give any thought to god at all. I somehow think I have it all together on my own without giving God his due respect because he has it all together, I am just a small part of my own togetherness.
So how much are you ungodly? I am sure I am not the only one... I have a feeling I will be writing on this again as I continue to think it over.

Fuzzy Vision
I have realized over the past couple of days, I currently have no vision for my life. I remember when I was a little kid all I wanted to be when I was grown up was Married and be established. Well I have that now, and have for a while but I never thought past that. I don't know what I want to be now. I came to this realization by reading "IT" by Craig Groschel. "It" has been a really good book so far. Its mostly based on Vision for ministry, but also applies to all of life.
So for the next few weeks or however long it takes I am really going to be trying to think of what and where I want to be in the next few years.
Its actually kind of scary when you realize you are completely going through the motions because you have no plans.

New year's Resolution
This is my first post of 2009. I was thinking of how we all grew up making resolutions for the new year. Did we ever stick to them. I honestly don't remember keeping mine for more than a few weeks at most.
I think instead of calling them Resolutions we should have called them our New Year's Vision.
Resolution means we are going to resolve something. Most of the time are resolutions are visions. Like we want to lose 15 lbs. That is a vision. We want to see ourselves 15 lbs lighter.Or reading 20 books in 2009 that is a vision, not something to be resolved.
So I guess the Vision that want for myself in 2009 is to learn more, love more, and live more.
