One thing that has been running threw this little Mind of mine is how much I can learn from everyone around me. Everyone has something to bring to the table, but in order to learn from them you have to get to know them. This is my struggle I do not seem to really want to get to know people. I mean don't get me wrong I have some really great friends, but only a small percentage of them do I really know and go figure those I really learn from.
So how do we move to the next level with people, we have been discussing relationships with the youth at church and I think it has been as challenging for me as it is for the kids. Of course you will always have those difficult people that you might not ever be able to get along with, but I bet most people have some aspect of themselves that you can get along with.
I was reading the other day it was talking about developing friendships and community and how you need to always keep Principles above personalities. I think this is true no matter how cool someone is, does not mean a whole love it they have little moral integrity. I mean they might be fun to hang out with, but what are you going to do when all the sudden you find out they are a lying, thieving scoundrel.
