Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
I have been putting a lot of pressure on my self to fully understand and work out my faith. According to Webster's faith means strong convictions and/ or trust in something that there is no proof.... Well the bible says in the above referenced verse that Jesus in the Author and finisher of our faith. Reading this has taken a huge burden off of me. Because I have little control over what an author writes. Authors of books might listen to suggestions, but in end they write what they feel like writing. So my faith is in Jesus' hands, he writes up for me what he wants. I can suggest certain things, but he doesn't even have to consider them if he doesn't want to. But now realizing its Jesus' job to work out my faith, I don't have to worry so much, about how much faith I didn't think I had, to even question you faith means you have faith.
So now, I am going to try to get to know Jesus as much as I can, like knowing an author, it lets you in onto the mindset of what they might do next in the story, of course you can get thrown for a curveball. But the more you know, the more you understand.
